Welcome, fellow humdrum adventurers!
Why Humdrum Adventures?
We are not here to show of our grand trips and luxurious lifestyle (because honestly, we don’t have one) – it’s more so to give a glimpse into the abundance of local (and sometimes global) spots, experiences and culture that surround our lives. We’re fortunate to have the opportunity to offer a perspective from from a different part of the world (former Yugoslavia) while growing up as 1st generation Canadians in southern Ontario. In this blog you will find every day adventures ranging from hiking trails and delicious grub from local eateries all the way to amateur gardening and an overwhelming amount of dog photos. We hope to help engage conversations and adventures that focus on the region (and beyond).
If you have suggestions on where (or what) to explore or would like to be featured as a guest author just reach out to us or leave a comment on any of the blog posts of your interest!
A little bit about us.
We are a (somewhat) young couple, Nina and Nem , or as we like to refer to ourselves: NR2 (NR squared). We moved to Guelph in 2019 and have embraced the city (as it has us) with many adventures. Up until not too long ago it was just the two of us exploring far, far away destinations (Australia) and taking on local hiking trails. We’ve since expanded our count to 4 – a derpy little dog name Dart! He is a crossbreed between beagle and lab (also known as a Beagador), tiny and full of curiosity. Most of our adventures focus on him because lets face it – who doesn’t want to see what kind of mischief or exploration dogs are into?!
In the not too-distant past we have expanded by 1 more member: a baby humanoid. This brought lots of new excitement and different kind of adventures – and gives us the opportunity to re-live a lot of trails, adventures and activities we’ve done in the past!
We look forward to exploring, sharing and learning from the local (and virtual) community!
